Antennas

Antennas are one of the most important parts of any station. This section is for documenting mounts, feed line, measurements, tuning, and real-world results.

VHF/UHF Mobile

Roof, lip, hatch, fender, and other mounts; ground plane; coax routing; and SWR.

Base Antennas

Verticals, dual-band antennas, mast mounting, grounding, and feed-line loss.

HF Antennas

Dipoles, end-fed wires, verticals, portable antennas, tuners, and matching.

Measurement

Antenna analyzer results, SWR curves, resonance, connector checks, and comparisons.

Good Practice

Measure, document, compare.

A simple record of antenna location, mount type, feed-line length, SWR, analyzer plots, and signal reports makes later troubleshooting and upgrades much easier.
